Important Dates for Filing

Your employer should have your W-4 or 1099 in the mail and on its way to you by January 31st.

The filing deadline for the 2016 tax season is April 18th, 2017.  This is the final day you can file for your tax return.

Under normal circumstances, taxes are usually due on April 15th.

However, in 2017 April 15th falls on a Saturday, followed by Emancipation Day in Washington DC the following Monday.  This pushes the 2017 filing date for the 2016 tax season to April 18th.
