W-2 Form

This form indicates how much tax was taken out of your pay over the tax period when filing your taxes.  

This is the single most important form for preparing your tax return.  Your employer should have your W-2 mailed to you no later than January 31st.  As for filling the form out, it should be filled out with the information needed to file your taxes when you receive it.  

If not, you need to contact your employer to get an updated form.
